A body has been found in the search for a missing teenager, police have confirmed.
Reagan Brown, 19, from Hexham, was first reported missing from the Leazes Park area of Newcastle city centre on Monday (May 6) evening.
Extensive enquiries were carried out by Northumbria Police with support from partner agencies to locate her.
However, the police force has now confirmed that a body was found in Leazes Park this afternoon (Wednesday, May 8).
Formal identification is yet to take place but Reagan’s next of kin have been notified and are currently being supported by specially-trained officers.

Superintendent Kevin Waring, of Northumbria Police, said: “This is an extremely tragic conclusion to our investigation and our thoughts are with Reagan’s loved ones at this difficult time.
“I would like to thank officers and partners who helped in the search for Reagan – as well as the wider public who shared our appeal and provided information to support our enquiries.
“We would ask that Reagan’s family and friends are given privacy as they try to process this sad news.”
